Hyattsville teacher arrested in prostitution sting

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – A Hyattsville elementary school teacher was arrested during a prostitution sting on Tuesday, police say.

Detectives arrested 29-year-old Martin Rye Brown, who is a teacher at Langley Park-McCormick Elementary School,  during a sting operation in Lanham on Tuesday.

He’s charged with two counts of prostitution and human trafficking. According to police, Brown admitted to soliciting a prostitute and renting a room that was used for prostitution.

Brown is currently in police custody.
