DC man wanted for assault on metro

WASHINGTON, DC – Metro Transit Police are seeking the public’s assistant to locate a man that is wanted on charges of simple assault.

Police say that Lawrence Nathaniel Harris, 25, allegedly assaulted a female passenger aboard a Largo-bound Blue Line train by placing a fluid-filled condom on her shoulder. The incident occurred on May 24, 2016 and an arrest warrant was  issued June 22.

The victim, an adult female, was not physically injured.  According to officials, Harris was identified by digital cameras and subsequently positively identified by the victim.  After issuance of the arrest warrant yesterday, Harris made arrangements to turn himself in at a DC police station. He did not show up.
