UPDATE: Arlington police arrest sexual assault suspect

UPDATE: Police have arrested 36-year-old Anibal Rodriguez Castellanos in connection with the Arlington sexual assault. Castellanos has been charged with Nighttime Burglary while armed and Attempt Rape. He is currently being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

ARLINGTON CO., VA – Arlington Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect involved in a sexual assault that occurred on June 19, 2016.

The incident occurred at a residence in the 3900 block of 4th Street N. According to police, at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 19 , an unknown male broke into a female victim’s apartment and sexually assaulted her while using the threat of a weapon to hold her against her will. During the attack, the 28-year-old victim was able to lock herself in a bathroom and yell for help. Officials say the male suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a while Hispanic male, 25-35-years-old with dark hair and a fair complexion. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark pants.

This is an ongoing investigation.
