Police investigate Oxon Hill homicide

OXON HILL, Md. – The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Oxon Hill, Maryland which occurred over the weekend. Police say the incident occurred in the 1400 block of Southern Avenue on Saturday, and the victim has been identified as Demetrist Glover, 29.

Police arrived in the 1400 block of Southern Avenue on June 18th around 2:05 a.m. after reports of a shooting. There they found the victim, Demetrist Glover, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

The investigation is currently ongoing, and, according to officials, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. They are working to identify a motive and the suspect or suspects.
