Arlington teacher charged with distribution of marijuana to a juvenile

ARLINGTON, VA — Zachary Van Dyke was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and distribution of marijuana.

Van Dyke, 32, according to Arlington Police, took a 13 year-old home where they smoked marijuana together.

Police also say that Van Dyke sold marijuana to that juvenile.

Arlington County Police looking for anyone else that may be a victim in this situation.

Van Dyke is being held at the Arlington County Detention Facility.

Van Dyke was a Teaching Assistant at Gunston Middle School and a basketball coach at Washington-Lee High School.

He has been suspended, pending the outcome of the police investigation.
