Suspect wanted in connection with VA shooting in custody

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The suspect wanted in connection with a domestic-related shooting early Thursday morning in Sterling, Va. has been taken into custody.

Emily C. King, age 23, is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on April 14 when the suspect reportedly shot an adult male during an altercation at a residence in the 400 block of E. Dartmouth Drive. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

King fled the scene and authorities placed a lookout for her whereabouts. She was located this afternoon at a grocery store in Nokesville, Va. by the Prince William County Police Department.

King is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
