British-Indian model Neelam Gill has been announced as the new face of collegiate casual-wear brand, Abercrombie & Fitch. The first Indian model to grace an A&F campaign, Neelam is representative of their new contemporary direction.

Since breaking into the modeling world two years ago, 20-year-old Gill has scored campaigns with Burberry – for whom she was also the first Indian model – and used her position in the public eye as a platform for discussing topics such as bullying, depression, race and representations of beauty in the media.

Neelam has even joined forces with body confidence activist Harnaam Kaur to discuss the effects that bullying the media and online trolls can have on a person’s self-esteem.

You can watch Neelam’s vlog with Harnaam below, and keep track of her wise words on Twitter and YouTube.
