Maryland HS Students Facing Criminal Charges After Lady Bug Senior Prank

Police have charged seven high school seniors in a senior prank that released 72,000 ladybugs inside of Chopticon High School in Morganza, Maryland.

The St. Mary’s County’s Sheriff’s Office says that 3:30 AM on May 20, five people forced open a door to the high school while two others waited in the car outside. It is believed that the lady bugs were ordered online. Four juveniles have been charged with burglary, property destruction and disruption of school activities and deputies say three adults will be charged by criminal summons.
