Deputies arrest Alexandria man for double homicide at Sterling hookah lounge

STERLING, Va. – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested an Alexandria man for a double homicide at a cafe in Sterling.

Hassan M. Gailani, 34, is charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Deputies say they responded to the Pharaoh Café in the 46000 block of Old Ox Road around 1:45 a.m. Monday morning for a report of a shooting.

The cafe is advertised as a hookah lounge and restaurant, with live music on the weekends, open until 4:00 a.m. every day of the week.

Two victims lost their lives at the scene.

Deputies arrested Gailani in his car by while responding to the scene as he attempted to leave the area.

The Sheriff’s Office says they will release the victims’ names after notifying their next to kin.

Gailani is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
