UPDATE: Footage released of suspects attacking gay men, shouting homophobic slurs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two men were attacked by three men who also yelled anti-gay slurs at them in Northwest, D.C. Sunday morning, and police need your help identifying the suspects.

Police released footage of the suspects and the attack Monday.

Police say they responded to the incident at the 2000 block of 10th Street around 12:30 a.m. for the report of an aggravated assault.

The investigation shows that three men assaulted and yelled homophobic slurs at two men. The victims were taken to a hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they are potentially investigating this incident as a hate crime.

Police describe the suspects as all Black males aged 20-25. Suspect one is described as wearing a white tank top and having a bald head. Suspect two is described as wearing a read shirt. Suspect three is described as having blond highlighted hair.
