Weekend road closures in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The streets of D.C. will be coming alive this weekend with lots of events happening including the Cherry Blossom Parade and Emancipation Day Celebration.

With parades and events come road closures, so take note of which roads will be closed in the District this weekend.

The following streets will be closed April 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

  • Constitution Avenue between 6th Street, NW, and 23rd Street, NW
  • 9th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, and Constitution Avenue, NW
  • 10th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, and Constitution Avenue, NW
  • 12th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, and Independence Avenue, SW
  • SE/SW Freeway-Access to 12th Street Tunnel from I-395 ramp
  • 14th Street between North Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, to Independence Avenue, SW
  • Inbound I-395(14th Street Bridge). All traffic will be sent eastbound on I-395 SW Freeway
  • 17th Street between New York Avenue, NW, and Independence Avenue, SW
  • 19th Street between E Street, NW, and Constitution Avenue, NW
  • Virginia Ave, NW, between 20th Street, NW, and Constitution Avenue, NW

The following street will be closed on April 14, from 3:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • 4th Street and 7th Street, between Constitution Avenue, NW, and Independence Avenue, SW
