Man injured in Greenbelt Metro station shooting

GREENBELT, Md. – One man is injured after being shot outside the Greenbelt Metro station Friday, police say.

Metro Transit Police say the shooting happened around 5 p.m. in the parking lot.

The victim was transported to the hospital and is conscious and alert. Police say he is currently being evaluated.

Authorities describe the suspect as a Black male in his late teens or early twenties, and wearing dark-colored jeans and a sweatshirt with a gray hood and dark chest/back. Police say he ran toward the Beltway.
