The victim reported to police that she entered the train at Rockville when she was approached by Gill who sat next to her and began to engage her in conversation. While aboard the train, Gill allegedly sexually assaulted the woman between 10:30 and 11 p.m., according to authorities.

The victim and suspect exited the Metro system at Shady Grove Station. That’s when Gill was arrested by police on an unrelated charge. Police say Gill remains in custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the public at large.

After reviewing the evidence, the Montgomery County Commissioner’s Office issued an arrest warrant for 2nd degree rape. Police say the warrant has not yet been served, as Gill remains in custody on the unrelated charge.

Police say Gill is also facing charges of 2nd degree assault, 4th degree sex offense, indecent exposure, and false imprisonment.
