UPDATE: Howard Univ. meets student demand to extend housing deadline

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following a meeting between the Howard University Board of Trustees and students, the deadline to submit a housing deposit has been extended to May 1, Howard’s student newspaper reports.

This news comes in at day four of the Howard University sit-in.

Additionally, the university plans to engage students in “examining the adequacy of on-campus housing to meet Howard University’s housing policy,” according to a statement from the school posted to Twitter.
