Police arrest D.C. 16-year-old for murdering teen
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police say they arrested a 16-year-old boy for the murder of a 17-year-old boy that occurred December 18.
Police responded to the 1900 block of Frederick Douglass Court in Southeast, D.C. around 5:52 p.m.
When police arrived, they say they found an unresponsive male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police identified the victim as 17-year-old James Anthony Smith of Southeast, D.C.
On Friday, police arrested a 16-year-old boy and charged him with felony murder.
