Warmer for the second half of the week
Skies will be mainly cloudy overnight, with temperatures lowering back into the 20s and low 30s by daybreak. Tomorrow should be a dry day, with partly sunny skies and moderating temperatures. Afternoon readings should reach the mid and upper 50s across the region. Much warmer air will surge into the region on Thursday, with many places exceeding 70°.
A few scattered showers are possible, especially during the afternoon and evening. Rain chances will be higher on Friday, as the next cold front moves through. Temperatures will still be in the 60s, but then lower dramatically Friday night into Saturday morning.
Moisture will linger to our south on Saturday, although there’s a threat some rain may hang around. Sunday should definitely bring drier conditions and seasonable temperatures. The warm weather will return again by the middle of next week.
