Police: D.C. man wanted for stabbing victim to death

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police need your help finding a man wanted for fatally stabbing another man in Northwest, D.C. February 3.

Police responded to the incident around 5:45 p.m. and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Fire medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Police say all lifesaving efforts failed and the victim was pronounced dead.

Police identify the suspect as Jose Luzunaris, also known as “Panama.” Luzunaris is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for second degree murder while armed. Police describe Luzunaris as a 52-year-old black male, 5’5″, 140 pounds, and with a medium complexion. They say Luzunaris should be considered armed and dangerous.

The victim has been identified as 56-year-old Gregory Monroe of Northwest, D.C.
