Police identify motorcyclist killed in Rockville accident

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Police have identified a man who was killed when his motorcycle struck a vehicle in Rockville on Saturday night.

Hector Ernesto Giron Lara, 34, of Laurel, was gravely injured in the accident and died after being taken to a trauma center. The occupants of the other vehicle, a Toyota Camry being driven by a 17-year-old girl with a 14-year-old boy in the passenger seat, were not injured.

The accident happened around 9:16 p.m. on Norbeck Road at Nadine Drive, when, for reasons still unknown to investigators, the motorcycle crashed into the Camry as it was traveling south.

This collision remains under investigation. Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed this collision to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
