AT&T gives back to residents in the DC area

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The telecommunications company, AT&T, partnered up with DC Central Kitchen to prepare and deliver more than 5,000 meals in the District.

The meals were sent to homeless shelters, rehabilitation clinics, hallway houses, and afterschool programs.

In a press release, AT&T says the company is committed to giving back to the communities they serve.

The company says employees working at retail stores in Alexandria, Mt. Vernon, Potomac Yard, Waldorf, were given time off to volunteer in this event.
