Anne Arundel Board of Ed. vacancy filled
ANNE ARUNDEL, Md. — The vacant seat on the Board of Education for Anne Arundel County has been filled, the county announced on Thursday.
Colin Reinhard of Linthicum has been appointed to the vacant at-large seat, and will assume his duties as soon as he’s sworn in by the Clerk of the Circuit Court’s office. Reinhard and his wife own and operate Paradise Donuts of Linthicum, and he’s a former high school math teacher and department chair.
Twenty-two candidates were up for the seat, and were interviewed by the School Board Appointment Commission over a series of four nights in July.
Reinhard’s term will expire in December 2018, when the Board begins a transition to be fully-elected instead of filled by appointment.
