Seat Pleasant police chief injured in motorcycle accident

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. – Officials say the Seat Pleasant Police Chief Devan Martin is recovering after a motorcycle accident Thursday night.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, Chief Martin was on duty and riding on a Seat Pleasant Police Department motorcycle. At some point, he collided with a vehicle and fell off of his motorcycle. Officials say several citizens stopped to help the chief before EMS was able to arrive. Chief Martin was transported to a local hospital.

Police say Chief Martin is now recovering. He is in stable condition and conscious.
