Man’s body found in Centreville pond

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A man was found dead on Monday evening, floating face-up and fully clothed in a pond along Trinity Parkway in Centreville.

Paramedics were called after a passerby reported seeing a body floating in the water.

Police have identified the deceased as Pedro Ramirez Matom, 28. He was from Centreville. His body was taken in for an autopsy, but detectives say they were no obvious signs of trauma.

The pond he was found in lies behind an office park at 5800 Trinity Parkway. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.
