Toddler dies after drowning in Sterling

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — One two-year-old is dead and another in the hospital after a drowning incident around 11 a.m. at a residence on Acorn Court in Sterling.

A family member discovered both children unconscious on Saturday in a pool at a Sterling home. They were rushed to Inova Loudoun Hospital, where the girl died. The other child, a boy, is in critical condition.

The incident is currently under investigation.
