ARLINGTON, VA —  An Arlington County Police Officer rescued a kitten from a car’s engine on Sunday evening.

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington says Officer Ernesto was called to Clarendon to help a driver who was having engine troubles and after Officer Ernesto looked in the engine she found a kitten. So the officer coaxed the kitten out and held on to him until Animal Control arrived.

The League says the kitten is now going by the name of “Grease Monkey” and she will go up for adoption.
