Child injured after being struck by a car in Bowie, Md.

BOWIE, Md. – The Prince George’s County Fire Department reports that a child was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Bowie, Maryland on Wednesday morning.

According to officials, the child was struck in the 3100 block of Belair Drive. While they did not release the child’s exact age, fire officials tweeted out the child was elementary school aged.

The victim is being flown to the Trauma Center. Officials say the child had serious but non-life threatening injuries.
