Police: Rescue dog stolen from shelter

HOWARD CO., MD — Police are looking for a rescue dog that was stolen from Small Miracles Cat and Dog Rescue over the weekend.

Howard County detectives say someone entered the rescue on Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City overnight Saturday into Sunday, once inside, someone snatched Becca. Officers say there were no signs of forced entry and nothing else was taken.

Becca is 16-month-old husky-mix, weighing 16 pounds and has blue eyes.

This case is currently being investigated as burglary.

Detectives are asking anyone who may come into contact with the dog at a pet store, veterinary clinic or elsewhere to be on the lookout. Anyone who sees Becca or has any other information should contact police at 410-313-3200.
