FAIRFAX, Va. – Fairfax Fire and Rescue says that a person has been rescued after their car got stuck on a flooding road in Fairfax County on Friday morning.
Officials tweeted out around 9:30 a.m. that they were responding to the intersection of Lawyers Road and Whipporwill Road for a swift water rescue. A person had been trapped inside their car when it got stuck on a flooded road.
Later, officials tweeted out that the occupant of that car had been rescued.
Police are advising drivers to avoid the area, as the road is still flooded.
