All day hockey game raises big money for DC kids, players

WASHINGTON DC -- On Sunday, the great melting pot happened to be on a frozen slab of ice.

The Marathon Hockey Game raised around $17,000 for Kids on Ice, a program that helps kids afford equipment and ice time for hockey.

The game started at 8 a.m. and ended around 8 p.m.
