DC charter school teacher arrested for child sex abuse
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A D.C. public charter school teacher has been arrested on charges of second degree child sexual abuse, after police say he had sexual contact with three different juvenile victims.
Manuel Fernandez, 35, was arrested on Friday. Police say the offenses had been going on since last August. The victims are listed as two females and one male.
Fernandez taught at a school in the D.C. public charter school system, but police wouldn’t name the school as the investigation is ongoing. Police are asking parents who believe their children may have had inappropriate contact to Fernandez to contact MPD at 202-727-9099.
