CALVERT COUNTY, Md. — Two women are in jail after being indicted Tuesday for possession with intent to distribute heroin in Calvert County and surrounding counties.

The investigation was initiated by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and spread over several counties, which ultimately led them to a Calvert County residence where Shauquetta Dotson, 26, and Latece Greer, 28, were living.

Police say that when they searched the residence, they retrieved heroin, drug paraphernalia and ammunition, giving them enough evidence to charge Greer and Dotson with multiple counts of possession with the intent to distribute heroin.

Greer was taken to St. Mary’s County Detention Center, and Dotson was taken to the Calvert County Detention Center.
