Cars broken into, credit cards maxed out: Burglars strike multiple families

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Va.  – Fairfax County detectives are investigating a dozen vehicle break-ins during the overnight hours on Tuesday, January 10 in the Orange Hunt area.

Police said in one of the cases, numerous credit cards were taken from a car in the 7400 block of Tomcris Court. The cards were then used at a store in the 11000 block of Lee Highway.

Thursday, investigators released surveillance video that captured images of the suspects at the store.  Police said the suspects were described as white or Hispanic and around 18 to 22 years old.

According to Fairfax police, the locations involved are listed below:

8700 block of Whitson Drive

7100 block of Hanks Place

9200 block of Rockefeller Lane

7100 block of Hundsford Lane

8800 block of Skyron Place (2 incidents)

8800 block of Sweet Gum Place (2 incidents)

6900 block of Spelman Drive (2 incidents)

7400 block of Tomcris Court (2 incidents)
