UPDATE: Police request public’s help is most recent homicide on Irving Street in DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. – DC Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 1500 block of Irving Street, Northeast on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

At approximately 1:47 am, MPD responded to the location for a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS found the victim unresponsive.

The decedent has been identified as 25-year-old Cheval Reid, of Southeast, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099.  Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
