Teen shot and killed in Northeast, DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department reports that a teen was shot and killed in Northeast, D.C. on Sunday night.

According to officials, officers arrived in the unit block of Burns Street, Northeast around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday after reports of a shooting. They located a 17-year-old boy who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, who police have identified as 17-year-old Derronn Stover, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing. Police ask that anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099. Those that wish to remain anonymous can send a text to the text tip line at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest or a conviction.
