DC Police seek public’s help in finding a suspect in fatal stabbing

(Washington, DC) – DC Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the 2600 block of Pomeroy Road, SE on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

At approximately 3:00 pm, members of the MPDs Seventh District responded to the listed location for a report of an unconscious female. Upon arrival, members located an adult female suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene and found the victim dead on arrival.

The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Antina Cindette Pratt, of Southeast, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in locating Elliot Avery Starks. Starks, wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for First Degree Murder while Armed in reference to this offense. He is described as a 34-year-old black male, 5’11” tall, 165 pounds, with brown eyes, medium complexion, and black hair (balding on top). Starks should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099.  Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
