UPDATE: Family identify unknown victim of homicide in PGCO

PRINCE GERORGE’S CO, MD – The identity of a recent homicide victim in PG Co. has been released by Prince George’s PD. Police have identified the victim as  26-year-old Takeisha Hughes-Coats of R Street in Northeast Washington. Her family contacted detectives after seeing the story on an evening newscast Monday.

On January 15th, at about 10:10 pm, the victim was found outside suffering from gunshot wounds in the 3100 block of Good Hope Avenue in Hillcrest Heights. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this fatal shooting.
