FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A woman is dead and a man is in the hospital after a Friday double shooting in Fairfax that is still under investigation by police.

Police say a family member called them to a home in the 9200 block of Okla Drive where they found Donna Pentek, 51, dead of a gunshot wound. They also found a man, 53, who had been shot.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he has been treated and his injuries have been downgraded to non-life-threatening. Police are currently trying to piece together a chronology of events.

Detectives believe this event was domestic in nature and that there’s no threat to the community. They are still asking for anyone with information about this incident to contact Detective J. Vickery at 703-246-7800 or the Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131
