PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — New DNA evidence has linked a man to a 1999 Capitol Heights rape of a 15-year-old girl, but police need help finding the suspect.

The rape happened on June 6 in 1999. Police say the victim was socializing with friends and the suspect, Richard Taylor,  44, who she didn’t know.  Their investigation indicates that Taylor offered her a ride home, then took her to an empty apartment on Cindy Lane in Capitol Heights, where he assaulted and raped her.

Detectives have a warrant for Taylor’s arrest, but have been unable to find him. They believe he uses several aliases: Damion Taylor, Demetrius Taylor and Michael Scott. His last known address is the 3900 block of 28th Avenue in Temple Hills.
