WASHINGTON, D.C. — Landover Station on the Orange Line closed Christmas Day after authorities say a woman ‘moved intentionally’ in front of a Metro train and was struck by it.

The woman was rescued successfully, and taken to a trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries.

There was single tracking on the Orange Line for hours between Chevelry and New Carrollton due to the woman being trapped under the train, with delays in both directions.
