Arrest made in Glen Burnie slaying
ANNE ARUNDEL, Md. — A woman has been arrested in the Dec. 5 homicide of another woman outside of an apparent building in Glen Burnie, but police still have questions about her motives.
The victim, Ikea Jackson, 28, was found lying outside with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to the hospital, where she died. Two days later, Tayasha Turner, 37, was taken into custody and charged with first and second degree murder.
Detectives say that Turner and Jackson were known to each other and that this incident seems to be a targeted crime, but they are still piecing together the chain of events that led to Jackson’s death.
Police say this is a “fluid and active investigation” and that anyone with additional information should contact the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731.
