Missing elderly Alexandria woman found

UPDATE: Carol Westerman was found and returned home safely.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police are now involved in the search for a missing and endangered 84-year-old woman and have issued a senior alert for her.

Carol Westerman, 84, was last seen in the 6600 block of Wakefield Drive in Alexandria on Dec. 2 around noon.

She was traveling to the Fort Belvior area in a silver 1999 Chevrolet Prism (4-door) with Virginia license plates YUT4809. Westerman has medical conditions and her family is concerned for her wellbeing.

Virginia State Police have issued a senior alert for her on behalf of the Fairfax County Police.

Westerman is 5’4″ tall and weighs about 160 lbs. She has gray hair and blue eyes.
