FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Fairfax Police made a swift arrest this morning of a woman’s husband after she was found stabbed to death outside of an Alexandria home.

Police responded to the neighborhood around 5 a.m. Monday morning after a resident reported hearing screaming and seeing a lifeless woman on the ground outside. They found Yesenia Membrano-Diaz, 35, stabbed to death.

A K9 team and helicopter were dispatched to look for the suspect, her husband, Ricardo Molina-Martinez, although they did not positively identify him until they made an arrest and released a physical description.

By the early afternoon, Major Crimes had found and arrested Molina-Martinez, and taken him into custody.
