D.C. police investigate two fatal shootings
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police report two fatal shootings on Monday night in Washington, D.C.
The first of those shootings happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Woodridge Street, Northeast. Police say that this shooting appears to be domestic in nature. The decedent was pronounced dead at the scene. According to officials, a weapon was recovered at the scene, but it is not clear to whom that weapon belonged.
The second shooting occurred in the 4300 block of 3rd Street, Southeast. According to police, officers arrived at the scene around 11:05 p.m. to find an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. At this time, the incident is considered a homicide.
