WASHINGTON -- A mother is preparing for yet another holiday season without her daughter.
Veronica Harris wears her daughter’s pictures on T-shirts and prints them out on flyers that she has been passing out since her daughter, Unique Harris went missing 6 years ago.
“My daughter was taken out of her home where she was supposed to be with her children,” Harris told DCW50.
Harris said, in October 2010, her then 24-year-old daughter, Unique, disappeared from an apartment in Southeast, where she lived with her two sons.
Harris said less than 24 hours later she and her family where searching high and low for Unique.
“How do you explain it to a 4 and 5-year-old? They go to sleep one night and their mom is there saying their prayers with them and then the next day she is gone without a trace,” cried Harris.
Six years later her search continues, and her struggle continues as she tries to find answers for her grandsons’ questions.
