Master Matthew-Wayne Thomas

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Two months after a man was fatally shot inside his car right in front of his home, police announced Thursday they had arrested a suspect in that homicide.

They say preliminary investigation points to a motive of robbery. The victim, Oscar Garcia, 37, was found by police in August suffering from a fatal gunshot wound in his car outside his residence. He died several hours later.

Police arrested Master Thomas, 30, and charged him with first and second degree murder. He was arrested in DC, and is awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925.
