Man arrested in Forestville stabbing homicide
PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened early Sunday in Temple Hills.
They say that the suspect, Keenan Fitzgerald, 27, was involved in a physical fight with another man when the victim approached. Police’s investigation so far seems to suggest that the victim, 50-year-old Emmanuel Sutton, tried to break up the fight, at which point Fitzgerald stabbed him.
This homicide took place on the 7800 block of Parston drive around 2:45 a.m. Sutton was found by police suffering from severe stab wounds, and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Fitzgerald has been charged with first and second degree murder, and is currently in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925.
