Police search for suspect in failed bank robbery [VIDEO]

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Police are looking for a man who they say is connected to an attempted bank robbery in Southeast.

The robbery took place on Friday, Sept. 16. The suspect is described as a black male, 20, with a medium complexion. He is 5’7’’in height, approximately 160 pounds and at the time of the robbery wearing a blue and white mask covering the lower part of his face, an orange and blue “Broncos” hat, a yellow reflective vest, and blue jeans.

The subject was last seen entering the passenger side of a tan or cream colored older model vehicle. The robbery was unsuccessful, and the suspect took nothing. He was also unarmed during the crime.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering $5,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction, and ask anyone with information to call police at call police at 202-727-9099 or text the tip line at 50411.
