Car crashes into building during robbery

BETHESDA, Md. – According to the Montgomery County Police Department, a car crashed into a building in the 7700 block of Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda, Maryland during a robbery.

The incident occurred at a jewelry store in Bethesda. Officials say that they received an alarm call around 2:22 a.m. on Tuesday morning and police arrived on the scene at 2:27 a.m. The police report states that two suspects drove a stolen 2008 Mercedes into the building. They were then able to steal some merchandise from the store before fleeing. Police are currently working with the store to figure out exactly what was taken.

Police are still on the scene at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
