ROCKVILLE, Md. –  Maryland State Police, along with the Montgomery County Police Department and the Maryland Department of Transportation, are partnering with the Maryland Food Bank in a week-long food drive in honor of Hunger Action Month. The drive starts on Monday, September  5th and last until September 10th.

If you’d like to donate food, you can drop nonperishable food items off at the Maryland State Police Rockville Barrack. Donations will also be taken at one of the six Montgomery County Police Department district stations located in Rockville, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Wheaton, Germantown, or Montgomery Village.

All across Maryland, other Maryland State Police and Maryland Department of Transportation representatives will be participating in a month-long effort to collect food donations. If you’d like to learn more, you can visit the Maryland Food Bank website. You can also make donations through the food bank’s virtual website here and here.
