Apparent arsonist torches Metro vehicle
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The take-home vehicle of a Metro employee was burned early Sunday in what authorities are calling a “set fire”.
Investigators have determined that the fire was intentional, but have no information thus far on the perpetrators, said Assistant Fire Chief Alan Doubleday of the Prince George’s County Fire Department. The fire occurred around 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning, in the Fox Lair neighborhood of Clinton, Maryland.
Damages are estimated at $20,000. The driver of the vehicle is not suspected.
