MPD seeks suspect in sexual assault and burglary

WASHINGTON, DC — A Southeast man woke Sunday morning to an unknown man in his home, who sexually assaulted him at gunpoint and then robbed him before fleeing the scene.

Police are asking the public to help them identify this suspect. The robbery took place in the 1200 block of Massachusetts Avenue, SE, at approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday.

They believe the victim was intentionally targeted by the suspect, who is described as a black male approximately 5’8″ and 200 lbs. with a medium to dark complexion and stocky build.  He was last seen in a black baseball cap, black t-shirt and black shorts.
